The Grande…..affair
The cricket fever has taken the car makers into its clutches. India-South Africa Test series that just got underway on March 26 in Chennai.Tata Motors announced that the ‘Man of the Series’ in the three test series will be driving away the newly launched Tata Sumo Grande. The test series between the two countries will be held at Chennai (March 26-30, 2008), Ahmedabad (April 3-7, 2008) and end at Kanpur (April 11-15, 2008).
It was at the recent Auto Expo in Delhi, Sumo Grande was unveiled and is now commercially available across various cities in India The new Sumo Grande combines the looks of an SUV with the comforts of a family car. It has been specifically designed to satisfy the needs of city customers in the areas of driveability, maneuverability and fuel efficiency.
Speaking at the unveiling function, Mr. S Krishnan, Vice President (commercial), Passenger Car Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, “Tata motors is happy to be associated with the India-South Africa Test Series and it would give us great pleasure to have the Man of the Series be seen in our potential best seller”
